About
How it Started
The idea for this project came about when I realized I had a lot of old sports equipment from when I was younger that I wasn't going to use again and would simply sit in my basement. But then I realized that I could donate them to other kids. Combined with noticing that many other families may have outgrown equipment that they don't need anymore, I decided to make a website where sports equipment could be given around the community. People can come on this site and both look for and donate equipment.
Mission Statement
1. Help kids become more involved in sports.
Children outgrow their sports equipment quickly, so many families may decide that it's not worth it to keep buying new equipment. By allowing families in the community to support each other, we hope to be able to increase participation in sports and physical activity in the community.

2. Reduce the amount of waste in the community.
Another important part of what we do is to reuse equipment that would otherwise be thrown away. Sports equipment is often made of materials that are hard to degrade, like plastic. Families accumulate a lot of old equipment over the years. By encouraging families to give out the equipment instead throw away, we are being environmentally friendly.
